Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information powersystemanalysis.org ("we", "us"), published by Zengit Power, collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Information you give us
We only receive personal information when you choose to send it through one of our forms:
- Data centre feasibility request — your name, company, email address, phone number, the facility type, and whatever you tell us about the project.
- Newsletter — your email address, and nothing else.
- Contact — your name, email address, an optional subject, and your message.
- Submit a Source — the source name and URL, a category and source type, optional notes, and your email address if you provide one for follow-up.
- Directory listing — your company name, website, description, country and region, and a contact name, email address and phone number.
- Write for us — your name, organisation, email address, and the article you submit with its title, category and source links.
- Advertise with us — your company, contact name, email address, phone number, the tier and budget you have in mind, and your message.
With each submission we also record the sending IP address and a timestamp, which we use to prevent spam and abuse.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like most websites, our host records standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) to operate and secure the service.
- Cookies & local storage. We use a single security cookie to protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery. Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies.
We do not measure page views, referrers or visitor journeys anywhere on this site.
Third-party services
- Spam protection. Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which loads a script from Google and may disclose your IP address and interaction data to Google in order to tell a person from a bot. It runs on pages with a form.
- Fonts. We load web fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers and may disclose your IP address to Google.
- Location label. The live clock in our header can show your approximate city. If you allow it, your browser's location is used; otherwise an approximate location is derived from your IP by third-party services (ipwho.is, ipapi.co, bigdatacloud.net). This runs in your browser and is used only to display the label — we do not store it.
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes data on our behalf to serve the site.
Article photos are stored on our own servers, so viewing them does not share your data with the image provider.
How we use your information
- To answer feasibility requests, which means passing what you send to the engineers at Zengit Power who would carry out the study.
- To send you the newsletter, if you asked for it, and for nothing else.
- To review and act on source suggestions, directory listings and article submissions.
- To respond to messages and sponsorship enquiries you send us.
- To operate, secure and improve the website and prevent abuse.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to send you anything you did not ask for. We share it only with the service providers described above, strictly to run the site, or where required by law.
Two things you send us are meant to be published, and we treat only those as public: an approved directory listing appears on the site with the company details you supplied, though not the contact phone number or email address; and an accepted article is published under your name and organisation. Your email address is never published with either.
Retention
We keep submissions and messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and maintain our records, then delete or anonymise them.
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. When you do, we keep a minimal record of the unsubscribe itself — so that we can honour it, and so you are not added back by a later import.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to its use. To make a request, please contact us and we'll respond.
You can leave the newsletter at any time, without contacting anyone, using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you. That link works on its own and needs no account, password or reply.
Children
This site is intended for professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above.
